DEVELOPMENT

Phase I

In 2018, the first phase of Magdelēna Quarter was completed at Antonijas Street 17A, delivering 2 residential buildings with a private courtyard garden, 109 apartments, 7 live-work units, and 240 m² of commercial premises.

Phase I

Phase II

The second phase includes the construction of 2 office buildings at Antonijas Street 17 and 21, providing 10,000 m² of modern and sustainable Class A office spaces and 1,200 m² of commercial premises, including a restaurant and a grocery store.

Completed and handed over for use in May 2025

Phase III

The third phase involves the development of 1 rental apartment building at Strēlnieku Street 4, offering 57 fully equipped apartments for long-term rent, a courtyard garden, and 2 commercial premises on the ground floor.

Planned completion: Early 2026

Phase IV

The fourth phase consists of 2 office buildings at Emīla Melngaiļa Street 2A and 2B, providing more than 10,000 m² of modern office space and 2,000 m² of commercial premises on the ground floors, and 165 parking spaces.

Phase V

The fifth phase will feature 3 residential buildings at Strēlnieku Street 4D, offering 100 rental apartments of various sizes and 657 m² of commercial space.

Magdelēna Quarter, even in its first phase, has been recognised with four prestigious awards that confirm its high quality and sustainability standards.

Magdelēna Quarter is a place where the city opens up to people. Here, the presence of nature, the quality of urban planning, and the functional use of space merge into a unified experience that encourages mindful living, active movement, and sharing moments together. The central outdoor area of the quarter combines greenery with diverse functionality – it serves as a space for relaxation, an event stage, and a safe and calm pedestrian route in the very heart of Riga’s Quiet Centre. LANDSCAPED ENVIRONMENT

New plantings featuring over 45 different species and 50 newly planted trees will provide natural shade and visual delight, creating a sustainable and pleasant environment for both residents of the quarter and visitors to Riga.

PEDESTRIAN PASSAGE

A newly created, safe, and freely accessible pedestrian area connects Antonijas, Emīla Melngaiļa, and Strēlnieku streets, making Magdelēna Quarter a convenient walking route for both residents and guests of Riga’s city center.

THE SQUARE

At the heart of the quarter lies a 1,500 m² multifunctional square that transforms with the seasons and activities – from sports events and city festivals to a winter ice rink or open-air cafés.

ACTIVE URBAN ENVIRONMENT

A diverse offering of services and opportunities in the ground-floor commercial spaces and outdoor areas – shops, restaurants, galleries, markets, festivals and events.
